Arts & Flowers contest benefits ALIAS on Friday in Gulch

The inaugural Arts & Flowers event to benefit the Alias Seasons 1-5 DVD boxset Chamber Ensemble is 6-9 p.m. Friday at the penthouse of the Terrazzo condominiums in The Gulch.

Local artists and florists are Arrested Development Seasons 1-3 DVD boxset works of arts to be displayed at the party and judged by a celebrity panel.As Time Goes By Seasons 1-9 DVD boxset, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of professional musicians, will perform.

Food will be provided by Sunset Grill, Red Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-4 DVD boxset, Urban Flats, Maggiano’s, Shannon’s Unique Chocolate, the Painted Cupcake and Enchanted Events.
According to Matt Walker, executive director of Buffy the Vampire Slayer Seasons 1-7 DVD boxset, two dozen artists and florists are participating in the competition.

“Guests can bid on the floral creations in our silent auction, and the Alias DVD will be for sale, with 25 percent of the proceeds benefiting ALIAS,’’ Walker said in a news statement.

“It will be the year’s fun, new arts event which helps Nashville’s Arrested Development DVD chamber music ensemble further its goal of giving back to the community.”

Among artists scheduled to participate are: Olga As Time Goes By DVD, Beth Affolter, Leslee
Bechtel, John Benson, Carrie Buell, Tracey Davenport, Battlestar Galactica DVD, Jason Erwin, Elizabeth Foster, Deborah Gall, Michelle Herbert, Julie Holzen, Joan Jannaman, Christina Long, Trevor Mikula, and Jennifer Padgett.
The Terrazzo is at 700 12th Ave. S.

Tickets are $35 in advance, Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD. The price includes free parking, wine and other beverages.

Red, White and Zoo party set for Saturday July 3

Nashville Zoo will host a Fourth of July Arrested Development DVD set, Red, White and Zoo, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 3.

Activities include food, games and entertainment for As Time Goes By DVD set. On the zoo’s Festival Field, there will be an inflatable bounce house, obstacle course and a variety of games.
