As Miller continued to ignore the court visitation order, a Vermont family court judge awarded full custody to Janet Jenkins, the child's other mother. Miller and her daughter are currently in hiding. The judge's decision in this case shows that the courts are willing to intervene in gay parenting disputes and give equal weight to both parents, whether the biological parent or not
